Under the artistic direction of Edward Villella, the 28-member company, founded in 1986, will perform three works choreographed by George Balanchine: "Valse Fantaisie 1953" by Mikhail Glinka; Tchaikovsky's pas de deux and "Allegro Brilliante." They also will perform Marie-Joseph Canteloube de Malaret's "Nous Sommes" and Jean-Michel Jarre's "Surfacing."
Villella was a principal dancer for the New York City Ballet, where he was Balanchine's protege for more than 20 years. He was the first American male to dance with the Royal Danish Ballet and the only American ever to dance an encore at Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre.
Since retiring from the stage, Villella has served as artistic director and adviser for numerous festivals and companies around the world.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children. For reservations, call 831-5420.
