CHARITY BALL TO BENEFIT ST. JUDE'S HOSPITAL

The second annual Springtime Charity Ball featuring the Castaways band is April 28 at Thornspring Country Club.

The charity targeted for this year's event is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., a research center for catastrophic diseases in children.

Last year more than $3,000 was raised for the American Heart Association. Couples attending the dance donate to the charity, and businesses and industries underwrite costs.

Ticket information will be announced in early April.
