COLLEGE OFFICER HEADS TASK FORCE ON HEALTH

Robert G. Sutherland, learning resources director at Southwest Virginia Community College, has been elected chairman of the Virginia Health Planning Board Task Force.

The board is responsible for health care planning for delivery of high-quality and cost-effective services throughout Virginia. It makes recommendations to the executive and legislative branches about health policy, legislation and resources.

It has been assigned the job of developing a state health plan.
