COMPLAINTS BROUGHT CHANGE ON BUS ROUTE

I ARGUED against installing bus service on Windsor Avenue. After months of petitions, speaking with council members and attending meetings, the Valley Metro Service personnel finally took into account the people's wishes in the Raleigh Court area and changed their bus route back to Grandin Road.

This shows that our city government still listens to its constituency and is not too inflexible to change. I would particularly thank Robert Garland, City Council member, who kept us informed of meetings and showed genuine concern for the individual residents; and Stephen Mancuso, Valley Metro director, who bore the brunt of all the dissatisfaction and was willing to work for the well-being of the city and its residents.
