TWO GIRLS CHARGED IN SHOPLIFTING SPREE

Two teen-age girls from Salem have been accused of going on a $1,334 shoplifting spree at Valley View Mall.

Roanoke police said Monday that the girls, ages 15 and 16, were seen placing items in the trunk of a car Saturday night. Police determined that the merchandise - mostly clothing for women - had been taken from nine stores at the mall.

The girls were not identified because of their ages.
