FINAL FOUR TEAMS GET $1.43 MILLION

Now that the NCAA Tournament is over, the participating basketball teams can count their money.

Arkansas, Duke, Georgia Tech and Nevada-Las Vegas will receive approximately $1.43 million each for advancing to the Final Four.

Teams get approximately $286,000 for each round they play in the NCAA Tournament through the Final Four, said Jim Marchiony, an NCAA spokesman. There is no additional payment for advancing to the championship game or winning the tournament.

Connecticut, Loyola Marymount, Minnesota and Texas - the four losing regional finalists - will receive approximately $1,144,000 each. Regional semifinalists get $858,000 each, second-round losers $572,000 and first-round losers $286,000.
