NEW POTATO CABOOSE

RYKO Records recording artists New Potato Caboose will perform Friday at 9 p.m. in the Bast Center, Roanoke College. General admission tickets are $7.

The band's style is a synthesis of influences ranging from American rock to jazz, folk, funk and reggae.

Tickets are available at the college and at Books Strings & Things on the Roanoke City Market.

\ Rainbow Splashes

Rainbow Splashes, the children's performance series sponsored by The Arts Council of Roanoke Valley, concludes its third season Saturday at 10 a.m. with the mime performance of Mark Jaster.

In addition to mime, Jaster is an actor, musician and dancer with experience in children's theater.

The performance will be at Mill Mountain Theatre.

Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the Arts Council offices, 20 E. Church Ave.

\ Zoobilation

Mill Mountain Zoo will hold it's annual Zoobilation on Sunday, April 15, from 1-4 p.m.

Ruby the tiger decals will be given to the first 50 visitors.

Entertainment includes music by Curley Ennis and magic with Ballons by Charlie.

Admission is $2.75 for adults and $1.75 for children.
