OBIT BLEASE, A.

Alfred D. Blease, age 50, of Roanoke, died Tuesday. A graduate of Brown University and the University of Maine, he was an Associate Professor of Physics at Virginia Western Community College. He is survived by his wife Kathlyn; son Edward, Richmond; daughter, Sarah; and mother, Mrs. Malcolm Blease, Saunderstown, RI. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 6, at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church where he was an active member of the congregation. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. Visiting hours will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's Downtown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Virginia Western Community College Foundation, Science Division.
