IVAN BOESKY FREE, ENDS 3-YEAR SENTENCE

At 5:05 Wednesday morning, confessed stock manipulator Ivan F. Boesky became a free man.

Boesky, 53, who gained fame for his ability to pick stocks, and infamy when he admitted in 1986 that he'd cheated, signed papers for his release from a halfway house in Brooklyn, ending a three-year prison term that he began in 1988. He was paroled for good behavior. - The New York Times
