FOREST SERVICE TO DREDGE LAKE

The U.S. Forest Service plans to dredge debris and silt from Cave Mountain Lake in Rockbridge County/

Joe Hedrick, ranger of the Jefferson National Forest's Glenwood District, said the dredging is designed to reduce several years' accumulation of silt and debris that continues to wash into the swimming area of the lake, Hedrick said.

The same work was done 20 years ago but needs to be repeated, he said.

For more information about the project call Bill Baggett at (703) 291-2188.
