SPECIAL MEETING ON MONTGOMERY SCHOOLS CALLED

The Montgomery County School Board has called a special meeting Saturday morning at 8:30 to have a public vote on the personnel report submitted by Superintendent Harold Dodge.

The board members also will clarify procedures from their last meeting, Clerk Revonda Breeding said Thursday.

The board had voted on the report after midnight Wednesday morning without notifying a group of people waiting in a nearby room for members to come out of an executive session.

The board fired Personnel Director T.O. Williams, promoted four principals, transferred a fifth and hired someone to take her place. Williams has sued Dodge over the action.

Breeding said there also will be an executive session Saturday on a personnel matter concerning a grievance. The meeting will be at the board's office.
