WISEMAN, ROBERT P.\
BUENA VISTA - Robert Percy Wiseman, age 68, born November 4, 1922, died April
4, 1990, at McGuire Veterans Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He was a veteran
of World War II and has been disabled for the past 33 years from old service
related injuries. He was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren. He was
also a member of the D.A.V. and the local American Legion Post #126. He was
preceded in death by his parents, Percy M. Wiseman and Effie P. Wiseman.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia G. Wiseman; one son, Robert L. Wiseman, Buena
Vista; one daughter, Linda W. Sorrels, Dalton, Ga.; two grandchildren, Kim
Sorrels, Atlanta, Ga.; and John Sorrels, Dalton, Ga.; one brother, Dewey W.
Wiseman, Buena Vista; one sister, Mildred W. Houston, Richmond, Va.; also a
very special brother-in-law, Arthur O. Houston, Richmond, Va.; two good
friends, Billy Armstrong and Robert P. Henson, Glasgow; also a very special
and loving remembrance from Joyce and Jay Cales, Buena Vista. Funeral service
will be held Saturday, April 7, at 2:00 p.m. at the Stone Church of the
Brethren in Buena Vista with the Rev. Harold I. Bowman officiating. Interment
will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista. The family will receive
friends at their residence, 905 23rd St., Buena Vista, and on Friday, April 6,
from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lomax Funeral Home with arrangements by Lomax.
