BOND, HEARING SET FOR TEENS IN HENRICO SLAYINGS

A Henrico County juvenile court judge Friday set bond at $150,000 for 16-year-old Christopher Palmer, one of three teen-age suspects in the murders of three members of a suburban Richmond family.

The court also set a preliminary hearing for Palmer and Steven Rea, another 16-year-old suspect, for May 8.

At that hearing the court will decide whether the pair will be tried as adults on capital murder and a host of other charges. A third suspect, Jackie Lynn Kulp, 14, is too young to be tried as an adult. Her case goes to trial June 12th.

On Thursday, Henrico County Commonwealth's Attorney James S. Gilmore III filed 19 more charges against Rea and eight more against Palmer and Kulp.

All were charged initially with three counts of capital murder in the deaths of Larry W. Walker, 42, his wife Emily Walker, 40, and their older son Larry E. Walker, 17.

The family members were found shot to death in their home March 26.
