OLIVER, R. VANCE\ PENHOOK - Rufus Vance Oliver, age 62, of Rt. 2, died Friday, April 6, 1990 in a Rocky Mount nursing home. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Wilma O. Moore, Martinsville; Mrs. Zella O. Holt, Bassett; two brothers, Thomas Oliver, Martinsville; Billy Oliver, Rocky Mount; half-sister, Mrs. Judy Kilpatrick, Hephzibah, Ga.; half-brother, Kelvin Bowles, Rocky Mount; two stepsisters, Mrs. Evelyn Murrah, Annandale; Mrs. Marie Watson, Smithfield, N.C.; stepbrother, James Bowles, Danville; a special friend, Kathy Robertson, Rocky Mount. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the graveside in the Grindstaff Family Cemetery with the Rev. Glenn Voss officiating. The family will receive friends at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday evening.
