ROANOKE AGENCY ON TOP-500 LIST IN AD BUSINESS

Poindexter Associates is the only Roanoke ad agency to make a list of the nation's 500 top agencies compiled by Advertising Age magazine.

Advertising agencies on the list, which appeared in the March 26 issue, were selected on the basis of domestic gross income.

Poindexter Associates ranked 434 on the list of agencies throughout the nation.

The magazine said Poindexter had a 1989 gross income of nearly $830,000, up 15 percent from 1988.

Its billings were $6.4 million last year, compared with $4.7 million in 1988. It had 11 employees.
