OBIT STATON, HERBERT C. & ETTA A.

Herbert Clifton Staton, age 59, and Etta Belle Anderson Staton, age 66, died Friday. They were members of the Jennings Creek Gospel Church. They are survived by their children, Charles C. Staton, Zions Crossroad; Annie S. Helms, Troutville; Betty S. Frederick, Glasgow; Frances S. Mundy, Buchanan; Dennis R. Staton, Buchanan; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his brother, Floyd Staton, Ohio; his sisters, Juanita Tolley, Buchanan; Hilda Worth, Christiansburg; Vivian Staton, Roanoke; her brothers, James A. Anderson, Buchanan; Charles W. Anderson, Danville. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 9, 1990, at 11:00 a.m. in Jennings Creek Gospel Church with the Rev. Chester L. Carter and the Rev. Marshall D. Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Fair view Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at Rader Funeral Home, Buchanan.
