Mrs. Ruby Linkenhoker Maxey, age 72, of Salem, died Friday in a Roanoke hospital. Surviving are her husband, James Earl Maxey, Sr.; sons and daughters-in-law, J.E., Jr. and Brenda G. Maxey, Roanoke; Benny G. and Betty H. Maxey, Salem; daughters and sons-in-law, Nadine and James K. Banks, Christiansburg; Jean and Danny W. Hall, Salem; Judy and Carey Cunningham, Blue Ridge; sisters, Mrs. Archie (Flora) Sumner, Mrs. William (Beatrice) Matney, both of Christiansburg; Mrs. Floyd (Mabel) Freeman, Alexandria; sister-in-law, Mrs. Hazel Linkenhoker, Christiansburg; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Lotz Salem Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, 1990, with the Rev. Kenneth Kingrea and the Rev. Ben Peyton officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Christian Life Fellowship Church Building Fund, 307 N. Bruffey St., Salem, Va., 24153. The family will receive friends at Lotz Salem Chapel Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
