OBIT MEADOR, R.

Riley Edward Meador, age 78, of Rt. 4, Vinton, passed away Saturday. He was a former of American Bridge. Surviving are his wife, Christine Hill Meador; two sons, Jimmie E. Meador, Sr., Goodview; Kenneth R. Meador, Vinton; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Linda) Meinel, Vinton; Mrs. David E. (Nancy) Martin, Hardy; two brothers, Shirley Meador and Willie E. Meador, Jr., both of Vinton; three sisters, Cora Saunders, Lorraine Wheeler, and June Wilkes, all of Vinton; nine grandchildren, Jimmie Meador, Jr., Tammy Scott, Riley E. Meador II, Kenny Meador, Kevin Meador, Dawn Layne, Greg Meinel, Bobby Martin, and Lorri Quesenberry; four great-grandchildren, Christopher Meador, Christie Erin Meador, Kenny Meador, and Brittney Layne. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday from the Lotz Vinton Chapel. The Rev. Curtis Nester will officiate. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
