OBIT WITT, R.

Roy Reaves Witt, age 65, of Route 6, passed away Friday, April 6, 1990, in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born October 17, 1924, in Bedford County, a son of the late John W. Witt and Agnes James Witt. He was an employee of the Sam Moore Furniture Company and was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Ouida Mayhew Witt; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Carolyn Witt, Huddleston; Tommy and Rhonda Witt, Bedford; one sister, Odelle Arthur, Bedford; one brother, Maurice Witt, Bedford; four granddaughters. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 8, 1990, at 2:00 p.m. from the Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford, by the Rev. Michael DuVal and the Rev. Robert Sherrill. Interment will be in the Suck Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home, Bedford.
