PARNELL, BERTIE E.\ HILLSVILLE - Mrs. Bertie Ethel Parnell, age 93, passed away Sunday morning at Twin County Community Hospital. She was the widow of Elbert Parnell. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Opal Gravley and Mrs. Gracie White, both of Hillsville; seven grandchildren, Mr. Bobby Gravley, Mr. Donnie Gravley and Miss Cathy Gravley, Mr. Tommy White, Mrs. Elaine Clontz, Mr. Norman White, and Mrs. Angela (Ann) Marshall; also surviving are nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday 11:00 a.m. in the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with burial in the Richardson Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home Chapel.
