CALIGIURI'S GOAL A SOCCER HIGHLIGHT

Paul Caligiuri's goal against Trinidad and Tobago that lifted the United States into the 1990 World Cup finals in Italy is one of four highlights under consideration as the greatest moment in U.S. World Cup soccer history.

The list of great moments also includes the United States making the World Cup semifinals in 1930; a 1950 victory over England, one of the biggest upsets in tournament history, and qualifying for the 1950 World Cup with a 5-2 victory over Cuba.

Sportswriters will vote for the top moment in balloting through April 22. Voting also is being conducted in 20 other nations, with the greatest overall moment in World Cup history to be announced during this year's tournament in Italy.
