VIRGINIA LOTTO HAD NO WINNER LAST WEEK

No one cracked the state's $1.6 million Lotto jackpot last week, Lottery Board spokeswoman Cherie Phaup said Sunday.

The jackpot will roll over to Saturday's drawing, when lottery officials predict it will be worth about $3 million.

Phaup said 68 people correctly picked five out of six numbers, which paid $1,075. Nearly 3,000 people got four right, which netted $52.

The weekly drawing features a field of 44 numbers. Chances of picking six correctly are roughly one in 7 million.

Four people have won jackpots ranging from $1.5 million to $7 million since the high-stakes game began in January. - Associated Press
