PROFESSOR TO SPEAK AT CHAMBER MEETING

Carl McDaniels, professor of counselor education at Virginia Tech, will be the guest speaker at the annual dinner meeting of the Wytheville-Wythe-Bland Chamber of Commerce April 26 at the Wytheville Community Center.

The dinner at 6:30 p.m. will be catered by Ramada Inn of Wytheville. Musical entertainment will be provided by musicians Thelma Fulton and Jack White. An annual Outstanding Citizenship Award will be made and election results to the board of directors will be announced.

McDaniels, active in education and economic development in Southwest Virginia for the last 20 years, recently wrote a book titled "The Changing Workplace" on career strategies for the 1990s and beyond.
