SLUSHER, PAUL O.\ ST. PETERSBURG, FLA.- Paul Olen Slusher, age 72, of St. Petersburg, Fla. died Monday, April 9, 1990 at the St. Josephs Hospital, Tampa, Fla. He was born in Floyd County, Va. on May 7, 1917. He was the son of Mrs. Lura Fayne Slusher of Floyd and the late Noah Christian Slusher. He was a retired executive contractor and a member of the First Baptist Church, Norton, Va. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bobbie Showalter Slusher, St. Petersburg, Fla.; three daughters, Sandra Slusher, Tampa, Fla.; Paula Slusher, Plant City, Fla.; Judith Slusher, Orlando, Fla.; two sons, James E. Slusher, Newport News; Joseph Christian Slusher, Durham, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Wilbur (Glenna) Weddle, Floyd; Mrs. Kenneth (Joann) Overstreet, Hopewell; two brothers, Price Slusher, Hillsville; and Arnold Slusher, Floyd; two grandchildren. Services will be held Friday 2:00 p.m. in the Nicely Funeral Home Chapel, Clifton Forge with Rev. Wayne Harrison and Rev. Chan Hubbard officiating. Interment to follow in the Central Advent Christian Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home.
