FITZPATRICK, JACK E., JR.

Jack Edwin Fitzpatrick, Jr., age 74, of Vinton, passed away at his home Tuesday evening, April 10, 1990. He was a Naval veteran of World War II, and a member of the Vinton Masonic Lodge #204. Mr. Fitzpatrick with his father and brother was a partner in Fitzpatrick Pharmacy, prior to establishing his own business Jack's Pizza Parlor in 1960, which he ran until his retirement in 1977. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth Hall Fitzpatrick; two daughters, Doris Elizabeth (Betty) F. Mayer, Chesterfield; Sue F. Bush, Roanoke; granddaughters, Betty Jean, Kristey Jo, Wendy Joy Mayer, all of Chesterfield; Mary Frances Bush, Greensboro, N.C.; one grandson, Arthur L. Bush, III, Roanoke; one great-grandson; one sister, Alice F. Mitchell, Vinton; also a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. William L. Ross officiating. Interment with Masonic Rites will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Hospice of Roanoke Memorial. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
