WJPR-TV ADDED TO VA. TECH CABLE

Virginia Tech Communications Resources has added WJPR-TV of Lynchburg (Channel 21) to its cable lineup.

WJPR is on Tech's Channel 28. The calendar that appeared on that channel now is on Channel 23. WJPR features Fox programming, the Baltimore Orioles, and ACC and NBA basketball.

"We were able to do this because of a [new] connecting line with Blacksburg Cable," said Tech engineer Kim Pollard. "They send us WJPR over the line. Prior to that, we had no way of picking it up. We wanted to carry it."
