Alma Davis Hite, age 70, died Thursday, April 12, 1990, in the Stonewall
Jackson Hospital. Mrs. Hite was born September 5, 1919, in Amherst County, a
daughter of the late Daniel Davis and Dora Margaret Sorrells Davis. She was a
member of the Neriah Baptist Church and was retired from Burlington Industries
after 32 years of service. Surviving are her husband, Carl Massie Hite; three
sisters, Mrs. Lula D. Sheppard, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Mrs. Mandy D. Cash and
Mrs. Lutie D. Goad, both of Fairfield; three nephews and four nieces. Funeral
services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 1990, at the Harrison
Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jill Y. Crenshaw officiating. Burial will follow
in the Timber Ridge A.R.P. Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends
from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
