Students for the Reopening of the American Mind is sponsoring a debate on abortion Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Litton Reaves Auditorium at Virginia Tech.

Debating the issue of abortion will be two women. Mary Nottingham, director of an abortion clinic in Roanoke, will present the abortion-rights view. She is a nurse practitioner at the Roanoke Medical Center for Women.

Representing the anti-abortion view is Carol Everett, a former abortion clinic operator from Dallas. She is now active in lobbying state governments for anti-abortion legislation.

There will be four students from two newspapers who will serve as panelists during the debate. For information, call 961-0060.
