VIRGINIA TECH WOMEN SIGN ANOTHER RECRUIT

Virginia Tech's women's basketball team signed 5-foot-7 guard Judy Fowler of Westerville, Ohio to a letter of intent Monday.

Fowler is the second player from Ohio to commit to Tech. In the early signing period, 5-9 guard Sue Logsdon from Barberton said she would play for the Hokies. Fowler averaged 18 points, six rebounds and three assists as a senior, and Tech coach Carol Alfano said Fowler has the ability to contribute immediately to the Hokies. - Staff report
