Mr. Hugh Thompson (Tom) Weaver, age 71, of Route 4, died Monday, April 16, 1990, in Richmond. He was owner and operator of Weaver Trucking. Surviving are his wife, Helen Ford Weaver; one daugher and son-in-law, Peggy Sue and James Sauvager, Richmond; three stepsons, Gary Dale Ford, Summerville, Ga.; Tony Lynn Ford, Calhoun, Ga.; Frankie Ray Ford, Trion, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. Doc (Lucille) Cooper, Mrs. Gertrude Arrington, both of Rocky Mount; three brothers, Willie Weaver, Rocky Mount; Dewey Weaver, Christiansburg; Jake Weaver, Radford; six grandchildren; three nieces; and five nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Lynch Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Harrell and the Rev. Dewey Weaver, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Sandy Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
