OBIT CURRY, B.

CURRY, BUSTER Buster Curry, age 80, departed this life Tuesday morning at the VA Medical Center. He was born June 3, 1909, in Bennetsville, S.C., the son of the late William Curry and Carrie Bell Curry. He had been a resident of Christiansburg for 50 years. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Christiansburg. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired employee of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. His survivors are his wife, Ella W. Curry of Christiansburg; a stepdaughter, Nina E. Clark, Roanoke; one brother, Baxter Curry, Bennetsville, S.C.; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Christiansburg with the Rev. Theodore Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 at the Asbury United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Shaeffer Memorial Cemetery, Christiansburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Asbury United Methodist Church Building Fund. Claytor-Alexander & Penn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
