Jamal Abdul Faruq, 7, and Basil Abdul Faruq, 8, vanished Monday when they went outside to play.
The boys' mother, Tambra Ellis, told police the youngsters awakened her after their stepmother dropped them off at her apartment about 2:30 p.m. Monday and then went outside.
Ellis, who had worked all night, went back to sleep, she said. After she woke up, she searched for the boys in the neighborhood but didn't find them. - Associated Press
