CHRISTIANSBURG - Helen Marie Creasey, age 81, died Tuesday morning, April 17, 1990 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born December 14, 1908 in Welch, W.Va., the daughter of Robert and Grace Leonard Creasey. She was Professor Emeritus at Radford University following a teaching career of 36 years. She received a B.S. degree from Radford University and a master's degree from Virginia Tech with further graduate studies at the University of Virginia and at the University of California, Berkeley. Miss Creasey was a member of the American Association of University Women and the Virginia Education Association. Surviving are four sisters, Nelle Creasey, Ethel Martin, both of Christiansburg; Mary Smith, Yadkinville, N.C.; Bobbie Hill, El Cerrito, Calif.; two nephews; two nieces; as well as four grand nieces; one grand nephew. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 19, from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Arthur Wingfield and Rev. Sidney Willis with burial in Sunset Cemetery.
