OBIT-BROWN, R.

Roy Akers Brown, age 71, of Friendship Manor, died Wednesday, April 18, 1990. He was a member of and an elder of North Minster Presbyterian Church and served as Clerk of Session. He was a member of the Williamson Road Lions Club and was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Allie Sue Fulcher Brown; two brothers, John Brown, Charlotte, N.C.; Clyde Brown, Critz, Va.; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the North Minster Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 20, with the Rev. David A. Kirk officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Minster Presbyterian Church. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
