VETERANS' CARE BUDGET FALLS SHORT

THE FISCAL 1991 veterans' budget proposal from President Bush and Veterans Affairs Secretary Derwinski is before Congress. This budget is bigger than in past years yet still falls well short of expected needs.

Another budget, considerably larger, has also been submitted by several veterans' organizations. Letters are needed from constituents in the home districts to support the "independent budget" for 1991.

The Derwinski budget would put the V.A. back to staff levels of 1988. It is still not too late to make an effort to support those who have served and fought for our great country! Please take time to write your congressman.
