FOUR-MILE RUN MAY 12 TO RAISE FUNDS FOR SPCA

Shenandoah Life Insurance Co. and Musselwhite & Associates will sponsor a four-mile run May 12 to benefit the Roanoke Valley Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The course, which is certified by The Athletic Congress, runs along Brambleton Avenue from the Shenandoah Life building to the Roanoke County Administration Center and back.

Runners will be divided into 11 age categories, with the top four winners in each category, male and female, receiving medals. The top four male and female finishers overall will receive trophies. Each runner will receive a T-shirt.

Teams from Roanoke-area television and radio stations and publications will compete for the best combined team score.

Door prizes will be given at the after-race party and the Kings will perform.

Entry forms are available at sporting-goods stores and athletic clubs, or by calling Donna Sulkin at 985-4441 or Larry Musselwhite at 989-4531. The entry fee is $10 until May 9 or $15 thereafter.
