VINTON FESTIVALS SEEK PARADE, CRAFT ENTRIES

Entries are being accepted for the 35th annual Vinton Dogwood Festival Parade and the 14th annual Vinton Folklife Festival, which will be held April 28.

Marching units, floats, novelty units and food concessionaires may enter the parade by calling Anthony Conner at 344-5193 (890-0009 after 5:30 p.m.) or by writing to Dogwood Festival Inc., P.O. Box 384, Vinton 24179. Prize money will be awarded in the float category.

Craftspeople who would like to sell or demonstrate traditional and original crafts, and individuals or groups who would like to demonstrate folk activities such as blacksmithing, quilting or soap making are needed to participate in the festival.
