Mr. Woodrow Clayton (Big Daddy) Hickman, Sr., age 74 of 1010 Norfolk Ave., S.W. died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was retired from N&W Railroad. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Woodrow and Rosa Hickman, Jr., of Roanoke; Roosevelt and Mary Mack, Hampton; one daughter, Athena Hickman, Shawsville; one sister, Ivoin Collins, Shawsville; one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Josephine Hickman, Christiansburg; one brother-in-law, Jessie Edwards; seven granddaughters, Jean King, Pembroke; Ruth Brown, Shawsville; Thelma Dean, Christiansburg; Cheryl Ferrell, Angela Ferrell, and Lateesa Stephens, all of Roanoke; Barbara Mack, Hampton; three grandsons, Kim Hickman and William Hickman, both of Roanoke; Paul Hickman, Shawsville; devoted nieces and nephews, Gary and Linda Duncan, Bowie, Md.; Elizabeth and Lloyd Haynes, White Sulpher Springs, W.Va.; Sergeant Ronald Williams, Md.; Larry Williams, Belgium; very special mother and father-in-law, Harvey and Geneva Harris, Roanoke; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
