SOPRANO PERFORMS AT ROANOKE COLLEGE

Soprano Angela Case, who has sung with the Southwest Virginia Opera, the Roanoke Valley Choral Society and the Charlotte Oratorio Society, will give a recital at Roanoke College April 24.

The 8 p.m. concert will be held in Antrim Chapel.

Case will perform Handel's soprano solo cantata, "Preis Der Tonkunst." She will be accompanied by a chamber orchestra that includes violinists Benedict Goodfriend and David Thacker, cellist Alan Weinstein, violist Adam Crane and Elizabeth Bachelder on the harpsichord.

In addition, Case will perform selections by Schubert, Mahler, Koechlin, Argento and Pasatieri. She will be accompanied by Bachelder on the piano.
