OBIT SHORTT, H.

Helen Wingo Shortt, age 64, of Roanoke, died in a Salem hospital late Thursday evening. She was a member of Colonial Avenue Baptist Church and an employee of Halmode Apparel Company. Surviving are her husband, B. C. Shortt, Roanoke; mother, Mrs. Flossie Lee Wingo, Roanoke; cousin, Samuel T. Miller, Sr., High Point, N.C. Her body will be at Oakey's South Chapel until 12:00 noon Saturday, when it will be taken to the Richlands Funeral Home (Hurst-Scott). Funeral services will be conducted at the Richlands Funeral Home at 3:30 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. Jack Keene. Burial will be in Clinch Valley Cemetery. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel.
