GOLDSBORO, NC - Goldie Jones Economy, 60, of Route 1, Goldsboro, NC, died Thursday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston, NC. She was a native of Ivanhoe, Va. and the daughter of S.W. Jones and the late Eunice Shipwash Jones. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Alex Economy; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Economy Worthington, Kinston, NC; two sons, Alex Economy, Jr., Goldsboro, NC; Thomas Edward Kittinger, Jr., Cary, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Bowers, Vinton, Va.; Anita Erwin, Memphis, Tenn.; two grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Freedom Baptist Church with Dr. T.D. Worthington and the Rev. Kilby Turner officiating. Graveside services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Roanoke, Va. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's Funeral Home in Roanoke, Va.
