FERRUM - Mrs. Sylvia Peters Shively, age 76, of Route 3, died Friday, April 20, 1990, at her home. Surviving are her husband, James Murphy Shively; four granddaughters, Donna Austin, Paula Shively, Lenora Downey, Penny Shively; four sisters, Mrs. Goldie Brogan, Bassett; Mrs. Gracie Scott, Mrs. Jessie Young, Mrs. Ruby James, all of Ferrum; two brothers, Archie Peters, Ferrum; Everett Peters, Boones Mill. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Lynch Chapel, Rocky Mount, with the Rev. Ethelone Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, after 2:00 p.m. Saturday, where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
