APCO TO HELP PLANT TREES IN FALLON PARK

Appalachian Power Co. will observe Earth Day by planting the first of 20 donated trees at Fallon Park in Southeast Roanoke on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Twenty sugar maples, redbuds and purple-leaf plums will be planted.

Robert D. Webster, manager for Apco's Roanoke Division, will join City Manager Robert Herbert and Dan Henry, the city's urban forester, in the planting.
