NEW RIVER, VA. - Ethel H. Williams, age 102, departed this life, Friday, April 20, 1990, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home, Blacksburg, Va. She was born June 21, 1887 in New River, Va., the daughter of the late Malinda Hall. She had been a life long resident of New River, Va. She was a devoted member of the First Missionary Baptist Church, New River, Va., where she served with the Missionary Society, the Deaconess Board and also Mother of the Church. She was a retired employee of the St. Albans Hospital, Radford, Va. Her survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Louise Harvey and a devoted son-in-law, Mr. Estele Harvey of New River, Va.; one granddaughter, Sherri Harvey of New River, Va. and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from the First Missionary Baptist Church, New River , Va. with The Rev. Lyle Morton officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 at the First Missionary Baptist Church, New River. Burial will be at the New River Cemetery. Penns Funeral Home, Pulaski, is in charge of the arrangements.
