MARION - Mr. George Milton Helton, age 76, died Sunday, April 22, 1990, at his home. He had been a Roanoke Times News Carrier for many years. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Hawks Deatherage of Marion; and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Wright of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers-in-law, Gale Deatherage of Marion; and William L. (Wimpy) Wright of Baltimore, Md.; one sister\ in-law, Mrs. Bonnie Helton of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one nephew, Bill Hawks of Shreveport, La.; four nieces, Mrs. Frances Cox of Marion; Mrs. Janice Clapper of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Mrs. Pamela Hoffman of Glen Rock, Pa.; and Mrs. Callie Shores of Forest Hill, Md.; good friends, Phyllis and Lacy Hancock of Marion. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. James G. Pickens officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
