MUSEUM STORE OPENS

The new Roanoke Museum of Fine Arts museum store will open officially Wednesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m.

The store is on the City Market. It can be entered from the street or from the museum's first-floor gallery in Center in the Square.

It sells folk art and one-of-a-kind crafts in porcelain, wood, ceramics and other media.

The store is open from 10 am. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Visionary art talk

Brian Sieveking will speak on collecting visionary art Thursday at the Roanoke Museum of Fine Arts.

Sieveking is an adjunct curator with the museum.

His lecture is a presentation of the museum's Young Art Patrons. Their meeting will begin at 5:45 p.m. in the lecture hall. It is in Center on Church, which is at 20 E. Church Ave.

Admission to the lecture is $3.
