CELLO-PIANO RECITAL

A recital will be given by cellist Suzanne Wijsman and pianist Carolyn True Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Roanoke College's Olin Gallery.

The program will include Bach's "Prelude and Fugue," Kodaly's Sonata, Op. 4, Debussy's "Sonate," and Beethoven's "Sonata in A major, Op. 69."

Wijsman received her musical training at the Eastman School of Music, the Oberlin Conservatory and the International Cello Centre in Scotland. In June, she will begin her residence as cellist of the Stirling String Quartet at the Western Australian Conservatory of Music in Perth.

True began her piano studies at age five and earned a bachelor of music degree from Central Missouri State University. She won the Eastman Concerto Competition in 1988.

Sunday's program is free. For more information, call the Olin box office weekdays from 1-4 p.m. at 375-2333.

Because of an editorial assistant's error, the wrong time was given in an announcement in Tuesday's Extra section of Sunday's cello concert at Olin Gallery, Roanoke College. Cellist Suzanne Wijsman and pianist Carolyn True will perform at 2 p.m.
