Mrs. Lucy Rice Stelljes, age 91, of 261 Calloway Drive, Macon, Ga., died Monday at her residence. Mrs. Stelljes, a native of Salem, Virginia, had lived in Macon since 1935. She was a graduate of Brenau College, and a member of the Mulberry Street United Methodist Churc, Phi Mu Sorority, The Writer's Club, and a volunteer with the American Red Cross. She was a former member of the Morning Gardeners Club, the D.A.R., and the Macon History Club. She was the daughter of the late Joseph M. Rice, and the late Lilly Strouse Rice, and the wife of the late George Stelljes, Sr. Survivors include one granddaughter, Dr. Janice R. Stelljes of Birmingham, Ala.; one grandson, George Stelljes, III of Washington, D.C.; one brother, Everett Rice of Salem, Va.; and several cousins. Burial will be in the East Hill Cemetery in Salem at 2:00 p.m. Friday, with Dr. Wilfred B. Webb, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mulberry United Methodist Churc, 719 Mulberry Street, Macon, Ga. 31201. Snow's Memorial Chapels, Cherry Street, has charge of arrangements.
