BUSH TO SPEAK AT LIBERTY U.

President Bush will deliver five university commencement addresses next month, including one at the Rev. Jerry Falwell's Liberty University, the White House said Wednesday.

However, Bush has bowed out as the graduation speaker at West Point on May 31 because the date conflicts with his summit with Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev, spokesman Marlin Fitzwater said.

Bush will speak at:

Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Okla., May 4.

Texas A&I University, Kingsville, Texas, May 11.

University of South Carolina, Columbia, S.C., May 12.

Liberty University, Lynchburg, May 12.

University of Texas, Austin, May 19.

Bush and Gorbachev will hold their second summit May 30-June 3. Most of the meetings are expected to be held in Washington, but details have not been released.
