Eugene S. (Gene) Turpin, Sr., age 57, died Tuesday, April 24, 1990 in Lynchburg General Hospital. Born in Roanoke, he was a son of the late John Thurman Turpin and Minnie Saville Turpin. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bryson Turpin; three sons; two brothers; three sisters. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday in Whitten Timberlake Chapel in Lynchburg.
